The Promotion of “The Function Improvement Plan for Labors at Workforce Development in Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan”

The adult educational group, led by Professor Hui Chuan Wei from the College of Education at National Chung Cheng University, launched the Function Improvement Plan for Labors at Workforce Development in Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan in 2019 (scheduled from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st, 2019).   

Learners can individually choose their courses through the course modules provided by the group, strengthen their work functions during trainings, improve their life efficiency and boost their future energy. It combines learning and utilizing and helps increase the quality of workforce. Also, to meet the needs of policy directions of the Ministry of Labor and the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Regional Branch of Workforce Development Agency, the courses establish “Competency System”, that operating groups and learners can have comprehensive investigations. The learning map of the branch next year has been then established according to the results of the investigations and the differences of competency. Besides, 12 courses, including six professional courses, one core competency course, four general education courses and one applied course, and a forum of result discussions have taken place. In total, there were 300 hours of courses and 3035 participant.

The topic of the year end result exhibition of this year was “Learning in Wonderland”, meaning learning is a magical and colorful journey that contains a lot of treasure. With the idea of reality games, the event created interactive experiences and participants could experience the beauty of learning and innovation through the games, and understood how to involve learning into their lives. The reality games started from looking for treasure. The courses of the college and resources of the regional branch are critical elements in the story, leading the participants to solve puzzles acting as figures of the games. They also formed groups of four people to solve the puzzles and encourage the cooperation and interaction among them.

Besides the reality games, the event also contained three speeches, showing three main topics: learning, resources and trends. Five speakers were invited. Every participant not only learned from the games, but also learned how to search and use abundant resources of the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Regional Branch, and had the insight of future learning trends.
